Caster Semenya Set To Marry Girlfriend

South African Olympic silver medallist Caster Semenya is reportedly set to marry girlfriend and fellow athlete Violet Raseboya.

According to the Daily Sun website, Semenya (23) has sent her parents to Raseboya’s family in Polokwane to negotiate lobola – a traditional Southern African custom whereby the family of the fiancée is paid for her hand in marriage.

An insider revealed that both families were happy to negotiate lobola, with Semenya’s family paying R25 000.

Semenya first shot to stardom when she won gold in the women’s 800m at the 2009 IAAF World Championships in Berlin, before being controversially subjected to gender testing.

She won a silver medal in the 800m at the 2012 London Olympics.

Preparations for the wedding are reportedly under way.

  1. Semenya either musajja or hermaphrodite. Defo tali yekka, alina kyeyeesiga. Something to do with trousers and snakes, kapisch?
(Sorry, English readers, some opinions are best expressed in local dialects).

  2. Sorry, South African youths (particularly) have no cultural orientation they actually feel better to be inclined on the apartheid masters’ side than their own black block.

  3. It would have shocked mi if some man asked for her hand in marriage either way he/she would be in a gay marriage
