List: 22 Miss Uganda 2019 Contestants revealed

This year’s edition of the biggest beauty pageant in the country, Miss Uganda has yet reached another stage. Yesterday, Tuesday 25th June Evening was an evening joy and excitement in the Rwenzori ballroom at Sheraton Kampala Hotel as the finalists were unveiled.

A total of 22 finalists who were selected from different regions across the country were revealed during the presentation that attracted quite a good number of revelers despite a delayed start.

Mr.Jean Phillipe Bittencourt ,general manager ,Sheraton Hotel revealed that this edition was bigger and better.

“We are happy to be hosting this edition as well since 2018 , and I assure you we are set come July to give you the best experience in a bigger and better way,” said Bittencourt

Ms.Brenda Nanyonjo, CEO Miss Uganda thanked the sponsors who have stood and believed in them as well as the parents for allowing their girls to take part and called upon all of them to vote their queens.

” As MTN, we are glad to be apart of Miss Ug 2019 and our support for the youth is undisputed, the girls look beautiful and gorgeous and kindly secure your tickets as pulsers,” said Ms.Hellen Kirungi, youth segment Manager at MTN.

Contestants were called out by names by the emcee of the evening Cleopatra Koheirwe as they cat-walked on the runway with each being followed by acclamation from the audience.

The contestants will now head to a boot camp where they will take part in a series of buildup activities to ready them to take on the mantle of Miss Uganda.

The 2019 edition of Miss Uganda are oganised by Kezzi Entertainment, who are the franchise holders of the Miss World Pageant for Uganda since 2011, in partnership with Talent Africa.

The grand finale is scheduled to happen on the evening of July 27th still at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, on the colorful event that will also see the attendance of reigning Miss World, Mexican Leon De Ponce.

Beauty queen contestants

Mariam Mohamed, 21 years old, is pursuing Bachelor’s degree in procurement and logistics. She is from Wakiso District.

Gloria Nawanyaga, 23 years old, is pursuing Bachelors degree in law. She is from Masaka.

Anshemeza santina, 21 years, from Kiruhura, is pursuing Bachelor’s degree in public administration at UCC Mukono.

Braton Braxy Kempango, 21 years. She holds General certificate in Secondary Education, and is from Kabarole.

Nyamatte Mariam, 21 years, she holds a diploma in law. She is from Ntungamo.

Nabirah Nagawa, 22 years, is pursuing a Diploma in fashion and design. She comes from Wakiso.

Petronella Acen, 25 years, from Kole Distrcit, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Education

Nusula Nabirye, 20 years, from Jinja, is pursuing a Diploma in business Administration.

Claire Gift Kabahemba, 21 years, from Kyenjojo, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in education at Makerere University.

Margrate Naimuli, 24 years old, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications. She hails from Kamuli.

Namawa Rebecca Phine, 25 years, holds an advanced certificate of education and currently pursuing a diploma in accounting technician diploma. She is from Mbale.

Carolyn Rukundo, 23 years, holds a diploma in international air transport. She is from Ibanda.

Elizabeth Bagaya, 24 years, from Kampala, holds a Bachelors’ degree in human resource management.

Annie Tricia Tamale, 20 years, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in fashion and design. She is from Mpigi-Butambala.

Elizabeth Nakayiza Kigula, 19 years old, from Mpigi, is pursuing  Bachelor’s degree in Business statistics.

Kusiima Bronnie Divine, 18 years, is pursing a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. She hails from Kanungu.

Sheilah Kababoopi Abwooli, 22 years, from Kabarole, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree of arts with education at Kyambogo University.

Sibella Raphaela Nsiimire, 22 years old, is pursuing Bachelor’s degree in commerce at MUBs. She is from Kabale.

Angel Akullo, 20 years, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in procurement and logistics management. She comes from Lira.

Beatrice Aol, 24 years, she holds a degree in fashion and textile design. She is from Kitgum.

Uwimbabazi Lucky, 26 years, holds a degree in business administration and is specializing in accounting. She is from Kisoro.

Oliver Nakakande, 24 years, from Bombo, is pursuing Bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing.

Ms Brenda Nanyonjo, the Chief executive officer, Miss Uganda wrapped the event by thanking the stakeholders for working hand in hand in grooming the contestant of 2019.

The crowing of the Miss Uganda will take place 26th July 2019 at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
