Yesterday, President Museveni commissioned Greater Masaka Industrial Park and two new classroom blocks at Masaka S.S.
President Museveni was on working day visit to Masaka. His tour centered on improving quality education and standards of living in the area.
“His Excellency commissioned the Greater Masaka Industrial Park (2015-2025) in Mazigo-Bukakata sub-county. The Park that sits on 800 acres will have a Fish processing factory, Glass manufacturing, Fruit processing factories, sewerage treatment and solid waste, heavy industry, a hospital, residential, vocational school and even administration zone,” state house reported.
It further reported that; “President Museveni commissioned two (2) new blocks at Masaka S.S. One block comprising of 46 classrooms and the other has a library and science Laboratories. There was also a ground breaking ceremony for 47 staff quarters.”
Lindah Nabusanyi, President’s Deputy Press Secretary said that the classroom blocks commissioned at Masaka S.S.S are one of over 500 such blocks around the country.
On his way to Lambu Landing site where he addressed a gathering, His Excellency made stopovers to interact with people of Masaka as they applauded him for his contribution to the development of Uganda.
