President Yoweri Museveni is expected to be among a group of Ugandans who will converge at Owiny Primary School Pakwach in Nebbi to watch the Total Solar Eclipse of the Sun on 3rd November 2013.

Uganda was identified as the best location in the world to view it. The strategic areas identified for viewing are; Arua, Gulu, Masindi, Pakwach in Nebbi and Soroti.

According to Hon. Maria Mutagamba, the head of the ministry of Tourism in Uganda, only seven of this kind have occurred since the birth of Jesus Christ.

  1. All Political leaders in Uganda should go to Nebbi to watch the eclipse with President Museveni to mark the end of his rule in Uganda.

  2. If people will come as far as Europe, why not President Museveni in his own home country? This is not a political issue but a sense of belonging and love for nature.
