Government is to put in place a minimum wage Board to look at how best to implement the minimum wage, the state minister for labour Hon. Mwesigwa  Rukutana said. He was speaking to a group of maid recruitment agents at the emerald hotel in Kampala recently, the minister said the government could not consider implementing the minimum wage back then at the time when it was still trying to attract investors into the country,  but now that the economy is growing and more people are being lifted out of poverty, they will be considering it.
