Reach a hand Uganda (RAHU) CEO and NBS Youth voice presenter Humphrey Nabimanya is having one of the best years of his life. In this year he has traveled the globe speaking to young people with privilege of being a key note speaker.

Recently, he was recognized for his efforts to fight against the HIV/AIDS scourge, now International TV station MTV has added its weight to Humphrey’s good work in inspiring the youth to live responsible lives.

Reach a Hand Uganda has received USD 10,000 (Ten thousand dollars) grant from the MTV staying alive Foundation to run their activities and school out reaches under the Get your Mix out Campaign in 2013.

Reach a Hand Uganda plans to reach over 30 schools in 2013 creating awareness about HIV and empowering the young people with information and skills to make informed decisions.

The 2013 campaign will run with Tag phrase or theme “Lets talk about Sex” which will encourage free and open discussions about sexual reproductive health issues among the youth.

RAHU is known is well known for its approach of using role models and cultural icons (National celebrities especially artists) for its advocacy programs, therefore receiving the MTV staying alive Foundation grant opens up a platform on the MTV networks for these artist and cultural icons giving them more visibility in Africa and the rest of the world.
