Mukono Set For Ultra Modern Specialist Hospital

President Yoweri Museveni has pledged support to a proposal by United Kingdom based Cormac Limited to construct an ultra modern specialist hospital in Mukono district, saying this will help the country save over US$300m spent on overseas treatment by Ugandans per year.
The President was yesterday meeting Mr. Steve Corbett, the Managing Director Cormac Limited based in U.K at State House Entebbe.
Mr. Corbett told President Museveni their company plans to secure funds from the U.K government and from the European Union to invest in the infrastructure development in Uganda. He said they plan to construct a 700 beds Hospital in Mukono District at a cost of $574m with special facilities to treat major body organs like the heart, lungs, liver, brain surgery, spine injury, accidents, emergencies and maternity among others.
He said they also plan to upgrade some of the roads in Uganda to the international standard, adding that the money will be borrowed from the European Union as a loan which will be guaranteed by the U.K government.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Health Ruhakana Rugunda and Minister for Investment Eng. Dr. Gabriel Ajedra Aridru.

i am sure Government do its due diligence on these so called Investors , who claim to be doing well in Europe ,like the Nakawa Naguru Housing Estate
other wise the Country needs such to be done so the Ministers and Ps’s don’t take wrong doers or speculators to the President
