Museveni Commissions Voice Mall & Hotel in Bwebajja, praises proprietor Behakanira

The president of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni last week on 8th September commissioned a multi-billion shillings project, Voice mall and hotel in Bwebajja off Entebbe Road.
While giving delivering his speech, the Head of state said Goodra Behakanira the owner of the luxurious hotel is a hardworking and focused woman who brought to him the idea of purchasing land and setting up a business project. Museveni revealed that Behakanira requested him to give her some money to start off her dreams.
The president said that it was upon this background that he stood in for her to get financial assistance and applauded her for not disappointing her and for putting the money to work and developing the country.
He added that the building has a hotel which will attract tourists and bring money into the country. Further stating government’s plan to put up offices for operation in five years to come.
According Museveni, Behakanira’s humble beginning from Kabale doing odd businesses like “Magendo” (Black Market) has led her to this success. Behakanira later migrated to Kampala and started various investments and today she is among the wealthy Ugandans.
Museveni also stated that it’s upon this background of such humble Ugandans that has exposed the lies, myths and hogwash from opposition merchants of rumours that there are no opportunities in the country and government doesn’t support development.
His Excellency raised praised and thanked Behakanira for being trustworthy, determined, visionary and being a lady who copies best ideas and practices and brings them into the country as development.
