Amos Oboke, the senior administrator Tororo Hospital has faulted the company for putting the lives of patients and their attendants at risk because of the open trenches. Oboke says Majaz was awarded a three month contract to repair the sewer lines at the hospital last year at a cost of about 45 million shillings, but he is very disappointed that not even half of the work is done. But Majanga Tereza, the director of Majaz Construction Company the contractor blamed all her woes on delayed release of funds by the District.
Tereza offered a truck to transport the body of the deceased to his home village in Buteba Sub County. Philip Okecho, an attendant to a patient at the hospital has warned of more danger unless the open trenches are covered.
