POLL: Majority Ugandans Proud Of Cranes, Trash Police, Politicians
Majority of Ugandans especially those who use micro-blogging social media site, twitter are proud of the country’s football team, the Uganda Cranes according to a poll conducted by Red Pepper Online.

In the poll, users of the site were responding to the question, “Whom are you most PROUD of as a Ugandan?” with options including; The Politicians, Uganda Cranes, The Police and The Judiciary. It was held on the 6th of September, 2016.
The results indicate that 80% of Ugandans are proud of the football team that broke a 38-year jinx to qualify for Africa’s most prestigious football tournament, The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2017 that will be held in politically tense Gabon.

The Uganda Police Force came in second with 10% of Ugandans on twitter preferring to go with the law enforcers while politicians were third with 6%. The judiciary trailed with 4%
An expert we spoke to on condition of anonymity intimated to us that politicians and judiciary were at the bottom because of the belief that the two are corrupt.

“Lawmakers will soon get cars expensively, something many feel is insensitive to the interests of the country while the judiciary is perceived to be corrupt,” the political pundit revealed.
