KCCA’s Musisi Tracks Gorillas In Bwindi
Jenipher Musisi, the Executive Director of Kampala City Council Authority tracked the famous Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park over the weekend.
Clad in a t-shirt with words Am Ugandan 100% made her visible among the group of tourists who tracked Nshongi Mountain Gorilla group.
Wardens, Parks Guards and other Ugandans were happy to see a lady that has transformed Kampala City into what it is today.
” Youre welcome Madam Jenniffer Musisi to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park”, Park Warden.
Jennipher Musisi replied with shy face wondering how they discovered its her yet she is on her private holiday away from the busy city.
She had a special walking stick that help her ascend the hills as she looked for the prized Mountain Gollillas.
Once in while she would stop on the journey wondering how Banyakigezi are strong people who ascend the hills as if its normal walking.
After tracking the Shongi Group , she was handed a certificate of merit and requested to encourage more officials to visit the Rare Mountain Gorillas.
Uganda Wildlife Authority posted pictures of the Mrs Jennipher Musisi with this comment,
“We are privileged to host the Executive Director #KampalaCityCouncil Mrs. Jennipher Musisi in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Mrs Musisi tracked Nshongi Mountain gorillas yesterday in Rushaga. We greatly appreciate her support towards wildlife conservation and contribution towards promoting domestic tourism”.
I strongly hope my sister Jennifer lobbies for more support for wildlife conservation and management in Uganda.She is an exemplary leader among few and its my prayers that other leaders of her calibre also follow her example.As a strong advocate of wildlife conservation and management in Africa and an alumulus of College of African Wildlife Management Mweka Tanzania,i am very happy for this positive gesture emulated by Jennifer and please continue with this good spirit.
