Uganda Cup: Wandegeya 0-3 URA

Augustine Nsumba scored two stunning first-half goals as Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) reached yet another Uganda Cup semifinal with a routine win over Wandegeya at Kitezi grounds.Wandegeya

URA had the better of the first half at Kitezi and after taking the lead they had a great chance to trpple their advantage, but their strikers couldn’t beat Wandegeya goalie when they was sent clean through by Nsumba.

And, with his side stepping it up after the interval, Elukana Nkugwa showed great touch and composure to square it when the ball broke to him in the box and scored the third and final goal to ensure tha the tax collectors secured their second consecutive league cup semi and will date second tier side, Jinja Municipal who eliminated who saw off top division neigbour BUL FC in a 4-3 post-match penalty victory at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.

Stoppage time between the two local rivals had ended goalless with BUL’s goalie Franco Oringa red carded in the unending melee.

The winner (KCC vs Lweza) will face the  defending champions, SC Victoria University, who ejected Kampala regional side, Hope Soana 2 – 1 at Kyambogo University UPK grounds on Saturday.

The two sides face off on Friday 18th April 2014 at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo. Semi finals will be played on a home and away basis.
