13 Cops Arrested For Demanding And Taking Bribes
As the the price of essentials and transport fares increases as a result of the festive season, certain members of the Uganda Police Force have accordingly invented new ways of demanding and pocketing bribes to supplement their savings but bad luck has today caught up with 13 Police officers.
Snoops at the Special Investigations Unit, Kireka reveal that the officers detained at the facility – mostly traffic officers – were arrested in Kampala as well as Wakiso within 12 hours.
The caged traffic officers are reported to have been getting money from drivers on highways as the routes are so busy as they rush upcountry to enjoy the celebrations with families.
