Rwomushana stings Winnie Byanyima: Your Fingers Drip Blood of Many in Luwero Mass Graves

Controversial former state house Political Intelligence Unit boss Charles Rwomushana, has blasted Executive Director of Oxfam International Winnie Byanyima over her recent comments on Amama Mbabazi role in rigging and orchestrating electoral violence in the past years.

Winnie who is the wife Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Kizza Besigye said that when Amama was in the NRM government he meted out violence to tycoon Musinguzi Garuga and his supporters in Kanungu “not once, three times.”

Rwomushana today posted on social media saying Winnie was once among those advocating for narrowing political space and her involvement in NRA bush war

“I was with you Ms. Winnie Byanyima in the NRM caucus when you were advocating for the narrowing of Space of political parties…Now it’s your husband flashing and swinging fingers as sign of FDC. You Winnie was involved in the NRA war and on your fingers drip blood of the many in the mass graves in Luwero,” he said.

Rwomushana also accused Besigye of stifling political space. “You forget when Kiiza Besigye conducted RC elections Ugandans were not allowed to display any political party symbol?”

Rwomushana said he received a reprimand from Kizza Besigye in 1996 when he protested against hooligans that threw stones at Dr. Kawanga Semogerere.

“I was in Rukungiri, having represented Rujumbura in the CA, and I received a reprimand from your husband Mr. Kizza Besigye for protesting hooligans who were organized by Capt. Mwesigye then the Rukungiri DISO who threw stones at Dr. Kawanga Semogerere,” he noted.
