DigiArt Fest, an event that brings together animators, Illustrators and Video game developers is set for its return this December.
The event happening in the 6th edition will take place on December 16th and 17th at Banquet Hall located in Acacia Mall.
DigiArt Fest was started in 2017 by Laurean Ntaate and has been happening physically each unlike in 2020 and 2021 when it happened virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic that caused a global lockdown and ban on gatherings.
According to Ntaate, the event returns physically this year and will feature many individual and set of activities. “There will be two days of activities and on the opening day, we shall have video game developers come together and build one video game that will later be played online, the other will be a showcase from the comic books illustrators and animators” Ntaate says.
He goes on to say that day two will have Disney directors sit on a panel with other experts where there will be discussions surrounding digital art and how best it can dominated the Ugandan market.
The event will have PlayStation competitions in different games and the winners will take home cash prizes. Entrance to the event is USh 15,000.
