Watson told Red Pepper Online this afternoon that although they have not yet received the money from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), they expect the money to be wired between now and April.

Uganda is meant to receive $100,000 (UGX250,000 million) for participating in the competition that brings together players who feature in the local leagues back home. Uganda Cranes only managed a win against Burkina Faso, drew with Zimbabwe and lost to Morocco before exiting the group stage.

SC Vipers striker Junior Yunus Sentamu was the star player for the Cranes after scoring all the three goals in the tournament.

Libya who won the title are expected to get a cash prize of US$750,000 (UGX1.85 billion), while the runner-ups Ghana take US$400,000 (UGX1 billion).  The losing semi-finalists (2) will each bag US$240,000 each, while the losing quarter finalists (4) pocket US$175,000 each and the third placed in each of the four groups will be paid US$125,000 each.

CAF also announced last year that all countries will get US$10,000 (UGX25million) each for the home match during the zonal qualifiers.
