Guns, Machetes & Bombs Recovered from Mumbere’s Palace

Brig Peter Elwelu, the UPDF 2nd Division Commander has revealed that the Sunday raid on the Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu palace saw them recover guns, machetes and bombs.

The items recovered at the palace include; 16 patrol bombs, 42 knives, 3 metal detectors, 1 SMG rifle, 1 pistol with 2 magazines, 4 radio calls and 47 pangas.

In the fierce fighting at the palace, over 50 royal guards were killed, 139 detained at Kasese Police Station and 14 police officers put out of action.
