Uganda Cranes tactician Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has admitted that their 3-1 loss in a Group B tie of the Africa Nations Championship at the Cape Town Stadium was to a very good Moroccan national team.

“We played a very experienced side and that was very evident on the pitch with their kind of movement and skill,” said Micho during the Press briefing after the match.

The Serb however said although they had failed to qualify for the quart finals of the tournament after leading the group from the first day, his youthful boys had got lots of exposure ahead of the 2015 Afcon qualifiers which start in September.

He also said it was not easy playing a Moroccan team that had seven players who recently played in the World Cup Club championship where they lost to European Champions Bayern Munich.

“I am happy that although we did not qualify, we managed to win one game, get a draw and suffer one defeat which was better that at the 2011 Edition where we lost all the games.”

Micho said his major focus in this tournament was to give the young players exposure ahead of the 2015 Afcon qualifiers. “I thank CAF and South Africa for organizing such a well good tournament like this,” he ended.
