Sadolin Mongers vs Toyota Buffaloes Sat 5pm, Entebbe

This weekend beckons week two of the Nile Special Super 8 Rugby League and a Rhinos second victory which can be earned with a result against Mutoni Warriors at Legends Club today will make this a dream start for Rhinos. That could make them genuine contenders for a place in the top three.

Mutoni Warriors vs Ezee Money Rhinos

The Warriors have started from were they ended last season at the bottom of the table, after last week’s 46-06 drubbing by DMark Kobs. They host Ezee Money Rhinos who are riding on a high of new sponsors and raising the kind of dust that fancied teams are wary of.
Talking Points: Musoke brothers versus the Aredo brothers
Prediction: Rhinos will pick up another bonus point victory with a 14 point winning margin. Warriors will also cross the try line.

G4S Pirates vs DMark Kobs

This is going to be the game of week 2.G4S Pirates have only 1 point from the from the league opener going down in as many times to Ezee Money Rhinos. In their league opener, DMark Kobs was all over Mutoni Warriors like a bad perfume! DMark Kobs top the table on point’s difference with 5 points while G4S Pirates are 5th on the table with the single point.

Hosts Pirates will want to get their season back on track while Kobs will be looking to maintain their flying start to the season. The statistics show this should be an easy win for Kobs but a team is only as good as its last game. This game will be more competitive than the statistics suggest.

Talking Points: Nomadic Kevin Makmot meets his former club who were seriously chasing his signature. Is Marvin Odongo injury free? If yes, can Ronald Musajja stop him? Dennis Etuket v Justin Kimono! And ball carrying machine Scott Oluoch?

Prediction: DMark Kobs will win by 12 points after an explosive first half with both sides having a real go at each other.

Lira Bulls vs MTN Heathens

Regional side Lira Bulls debut in the premiership was a stutter as they walked over on account of their failure to provide an ambulance before kickoff. Have they learnt from that embarrassment? Will this match take place? It does not help that they have to face the 5 time defending champions MTN Heathens. Will Lira Bulls former player Ambrose Ochen make his debut?

Heathens coach Brian Tabaruka will probably use this match to try out his new recruits.

Talking Points: How many stools will Lira Bulls receive?

Prediction: Maybe another walk over? If the game is played Heathens should win with a 28 point margin bonus point victory

Sadolin Mongers vs. Toyota Buffaloes

This should be another interesting game. Visitors Buffaloes will find the going very tough against a very physical Mongers side on their dreaded home turf – ‘House of pain’.

Toyota Buffaloes game against Lira Bullas last week was a walk over while Mongers though losing 24-7 to Heathens were very competitive. There is a strong possibility of an upset victory for the home side if they can slow down the game.

Talking Points: Who will stop the rampaging Andrew Olweny?

Prediction: This will be a very close game. I will go out on a limb and predict a low scoring victory for Toyota Buffaloes by 5 points. No winning bonus point victory but a strong possibility of a losing bonus point.
