The minor is hospitalized at Nyakibale hospital in critical condition. James Kamugisha, the officer in Charge of Rukungiri Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department  identifies the suspects as Dan Kaharata and Moses Mbangira.

It is alleged that on Friday at around 6:00pm while at Bosco garage  along  Rweshama  stage the duo together with others still at large set the minor ablaze accusing him of stealing spare parts.

The mechanics reportedly picked up Ninsiima near Pride Micro Finance offices and tied him with ropes before they set him ablaze.

Ninsiima was saved from burning to death by residents who rescued him and rushed him to Nyakibale Hospital with severe burns. As a result, police moved in and picked up Dan Kaharata and Moses Mbangira in connection to the mob action.

Gershom Nsimomwe, the LC 3 councilor of Rwakabengo ward is the father of the minor.

He faults the suspects for taking the law in their hands saying if they had issues with his son they should have reported the matter to police or notified him.

Elly Maate, the Kigezi regional Police spokesperson says police are hunting for more suspects so that they can face justice. He says police will not stop at sensitizing people on the dangers of mob justice and will not hesitate to arrest those who pay a deaf ear.
