SC Vipers recorded an emphatic 1-0 victory over their bitter rivals Sports club Victoria University as they picked up maximum points late Friday evening and stay top in the FUFA Super League.Sentamu

Fresh from holding defending champions KCCA FC to a 2-2 draw early this week, the SC Victoria University team fought on late into the 84th minute before Uganda Cranes 2014 CHAN hero Yunus Sentamu scored the solitary goal in Buikwe district.

Edward Golola’s side now top the log on 43 points after the win.

At the Mehta Lugazi Stadium, former League champions URA FC who were only a point behind SC Vipers before kickoff squandered a glorious of closing in on the leaders being held 1-1 by strugglers SC Villa. Augustine Nsumba netted for URA while Bagole David replied for the Jogoos.

Proline star William Wadri on loan at defending champions Kampala City Council scored twice to help George Nsimbe’s team FC to a 3-1 win over Bright Stars FC at Nakivubo Stadium.  Hassan Kikoyo gave the Kawempe based club the lead. Gaddafi Kiwanuka netted the other goal for KCC FC.

At the Recreation ground in Masaka, Kizimula Geoffrey scored for Masaka while Richard Kasaga was on target for Kira Young as the game ended 1-1 while Francis Olaki of Soana netted twice for Soana as they beat Proline 2-1 at Lugogo stadium. Kidega Andrew scored Proline’s consolation.
