Asiku (L) battles with KCCA’s Ogwang at Lugogo. The BUL captain is set to lead his team against Masaka today.

Asiku is eager for the team to bounce back from their Uganda Cup quarterfinal loss to second tier Jinja rivals Jinja Municipal Council Hippos in spotkicks.

“It feels like a bigger win to go for because of the fact that we’ve not lost to Masaka under coach Kefa (Kisela). Asiku says.

“The game against JMC was a tough anda  learning result. We had our chances to score but we wasted them, it’s a diffrenet case today am telling you.

“It will be tough but we are well prepared and hopefully, we will register good results, he said.

Masaka still believe Kisala betrayed them to cross to BUL in 2012/13 season and hope to inflict damage upon his 420km trek back south.

Kakande Herbert is out serving his last game after being shown a red card during the Bright Star game at Kakindu. Former Masaka LC men Matovu Bruhan and Martin Kivumbi will miss out with dead leg and ankle injuries respectively while midfield maestro Odipio Herbert and utility defender Willy Sempira will both sit out with swollen knees.

The Jinja side is looking to win two successive games away from home after beating Soana 0-1 in their last outing in Kavumba and hope to complete a double against Masaka.

It’s also remarkable that both teams go into the game as masters of their own destiny withregards to fighting relegation and finishing in top four respectively.

BUL are 6th on 40 points while Masaka sit comfortably in 2rd last position with 15 one better than bottom club CRO.
