Father Defiles 6-year-old Daughter
A 35-year- old man survived being lynched on Friday by an angry mob in Asinge A zone in Osukuru Sub County, Tororo District for allegedly defiling his 6- year- old daughter.
Paul Oteba, a peasant farmer, was found red-handed by his wife Scovia Mataka (32) in the act of defiling their daughter on Wednesday night.
The mother had been informed by their 4-year old child that their father had repeatedly defiled the minor.
The husband went on the run after being discovered by his wife. He was apprehended by clan members from his hideout at corner Osukuru along the Tororo-Jinja High way on Friday.
Oteba’s arrest was conducted with the aid of police officers who had been tipped off by the area LC1 chairperson Stephen Osinde. The sub-county LC3 chairperson John Paul Okanya was also involved in the search.
Oteba was found hiding in a cassava plantation.
In his statement at Osukuru police station, the suspect said he had started defiling his daughter because his wife had denied him his conjugal rights for a long time.
But Oteba’s wife Scovia dismissed the explanation. She said that Oteba had become a heavy drinker who always returned home very late beyond 3am
An emotional Jane Amase, the secretary for child protection committee, said that Oteba’s private parts should be chopped off so as to teach others a lesson.
John Paul Okanya the LC3 chairperson of Osukuru sub-county cautioned the residents to desist from negotiating matters of defilement outside courts of law.
George Emunu, the officer in charge of Osukuru police station, confirmed the arrest saying that Oteba will appear in court to answer charges of aggravated defilement.

Redpaper next time it should be a mad father has repeatedly defiled his daughter otherwise this man should be castrated and the mother should not be left like that she should be sorry for what she has caused to the innocent girl just bzc of the so called husband coming home late and drunk. I have never heard that a drunkerd man going with the mother instead they force there wifes to have sex thats why they produce like guineapigs
