NRM Leaders Eulogise EALA Legislator Kasamba, To be accorded Decent Send-off

Nakaseke – Members of the NRM ruling party woke to the shocking passing of the Mobilisation Director after a short illness on Tuesday, April 27.

Kasamba, a representative in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in Tanzania and also the director of mobilisation and cadre identification for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM),
breathed his last at Nakasero Hospital

While speaking to the press in Nakaseke at the closure of the NALI retreat, a section of party leaders intimated to this website that the 57-year-old former Kakuuto MP felt unwell whilst at NRM leaders retreat at NALI – Kyankwanzi.

We were with him at the Retreat last week at Kyankwanzi (NALI). He later expressed that he wasnot feeling well and was later rushed to Mulago and then Nakasero Hospital for treatment. It was sad to learn of his passing.

He was very crucial in mobilisation. He was identified by President Museveni for his great contribution in empowering the people of Kakuuto through agriculture and livelihood improvement initiatives,” said Lydia Wanyoto, Chairperson NRM Women’s Leagues.

Tanga Odoi, Chairperson NRM Electoral Commission, eulogized Hon. Kasamba for his commitment to serving the party and Uganda through empowering youths and farmer.

“Hon. Kasamba was crucial in the party primaries in the Greater Masaka sub-region. He provided critical intel that helps the government manage the hotspots of Masaka and Lwengo. We shall miss his passion to serve his people and Uganda” Odoi eulogises.

Report reaching this site indicate that Hon. Kasamba was hospitalized for three days after being diagnosed with brain tumor at Nakasero Hospital.

The National Resistance Movement party Secretary General Justine Lumumba Kasule together with the party chairman and family of the deceased among other stakeholders have been holding consultations before a final program for the late Mathias Kasamba’s send-off is issued today.

“We have sent Hon Kiwanda (NRM Party Vice-Chairperson – Central region) to Kampala this morning to make plans for a decent burial of Hon. Kisamba. The programme will be communicated soon,” said SG Lumumba addressed Museveni and asking party delegates to observe a moment of silence.
