Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanya.

Jacob Oulanya, the deputy speaker of parliament was stuck in traffic this evening after his official vehicle broke down along Mutajazi road, which connects Eighth Street in Industrial area to Muyenga road in Kabalagala.

The incident occurred opposite the lower gate of Green Hill Academy forcing Oulanya’s security to control traffic.

After several attempts to restart the vehicle failed, a team of mechanics from Spear motors rushed to the scene to try and rescue the speaker in vain.

As a result, a tow truck registration number UAP 862 Z was called in to tow the vehicle to unknown destination.

Attempts by our reporter to get a comment from Helen Kaweesa, the Public Relations Officer of parliament were futile as she neither picked nor returned calls from our reporter.

  1. If it breaks let it break, who cares!! Is Oulanyah’s car breakage more important than Uganda’s tax payers dying/lying in corridors of Mulago and other Hospitals across the Country? This is typically ” NONSENSE” and “NO NEWS” at all save this space for other important issues, FG&MYC.

  2. Who cares, If it was serious accident and that he……………….. we would be…………

  3. That was good quick reaction from Hon Oulanyas handlers and the mechanics from spear motors! Let us hope that this did not cause any security risk to the Deputy Speaker or much inconvenience to other road users.
